Why Should You Attend?

The PECB CMMC Foundations training course allows you to learn more about the structure of the CMMC model, including CMMC levels, domains, and practices. You will also gain basic knowledge related to the CMMC ecosystem, the CMMC assessment process, and the CMMC Code of Professional Conduct.

The successful completion of the training course is followed by an exam. Buyers always ask

Is the certification exam included with this course?+

Exam inclusion depends on the delivery format and commercial option selected. Check the booking summary or ask Cyber Academy for written confirmation before registering.

Completing the training, passing the applicable exam, and meeting the PECB credential requirements are separate steps.

Does this course cover all CMMC levels in equal depth?+

The course is designed as a foundational introduction, so it provides an overview of all CMMC maturity levels rather than a deep technical dive into any single level. Participants leave with a working understanding of how the levels differ and what each requires of an organization.

Is this course relevant if my organization is not a direct DoD contractor?+

The CMMC model primarily governs the DoD supply chain, including the Defense Industrial Base. However, individuals who work with subcontractors, technology suppliers, or managed service providers that support DIB companies will also find the foundational knowledge valuable for understanding compliance expectations that may flow down through contracts.

What topics are assessed in the PECB CMMC Foundations exam?+

The PECB exam for this course covers two competency domains: fundamental concepts of the CMMC model, the CMMC ecosystem, and the code of professional conduct; and CMMC domains, practices, and the assessment process. For full details on exam format and language availability, consult the official PECB List of Exams and Examination Rules and Policies.

How many CPD credits does attending this course provide?+

Participants who attend the training course receive an attestation of course completion carrying 14 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits. These credits relate to course attendance only and are separate from any credits or recognition associated with passing a certification exam.
